Eeek! I’ve been revealed. Or should I say I’ve been revealing
Over on the Contrast Podcast, Tim, the brain behind that wonderful enterprise, has just finished up the Third Annual CD Swap. You make a mixtape for someone (Tim tells you who) and you get a mixtape from someone else in return. It all works kind of like a secret Santa thing. You don’t know who’s making your mix tape until you get it in the mail. Yesterday Tim surprised us and posted the first half of the results right over here.
The Contrast Podcast is in itself a huge amount of fun to participate in. Usually all you do is pick a song to go with the weekly theme (chosen by Tim) and record a short introduction to go with it. Tim then compiles them all into a podcast of about an hour long and each week we get to hear a variety of music from a variety of bloggers from all over the world. I’ve gotten to know some very cool folks and some amazing music over there!
Now this week, the CD Swap week, we were each asked to introduce our favorite track from the CD we received. My pick is featured along with 12 others. That’s revealing enough… but in addition to this, for the special annual occasion of this event, Tim requested a photo of us with the CD we received from our secret swap partner. A photo?!? Eeek… how was I gonna pull that off and remain my anonymous self? Well, luckily the song I chose to introduce, “Titties (largin it mix)”, my favorite track from the wonderful CDs (yes I got two!) from FiL from pogoa go-go, was rather naughty. Oh he knows me so well. So, I was able to er,… illustrate my song photographically without revealing my identity too, too much
Go have a peek at all the pictures submitted from the Contrast Podcast swappers, here, including mine, and do consider contributing to the Contrast Podcast yourself. Anyone can do it!
Here’s what FiL’s beautiful CD’s for me look like, close up

Oh, and I made a mixtape for Matthew over at Song, by Toad. It was a pleasure to make and he was very kind in his comments on the podcast about it, the dearie. xoxo
And, by the way, the song I chose from FiL’s CD is a remix that Tim Young himself made for a contest back in 2007, wherein he won an ipod! I had no idea when I picked the song, I just loved the craziness of it (and the English accent, to be honest. Yeah I’m that shallow!) heheh

Brilliant! What a superb idea, can’t wait to have a proper listen to these later. Oh and Tart, what a tease you are…
nice rack…..
Tarty, you have beautiful hair x
Hmmm. So I say something nice and I’m Britney. Cheers x
tart has hair??? All I saw was a fine pair of CDs…..
You all are too kind, thank you! xoxo
(and no, JC, you’re quite right, I’ve got no idea what the others are talking about!)
Well. That went down well with my breakfast.
And I get a Bowie!!! Almost as good!
I’m speechless (but I want to see whose icon I get). Well done you for the most revealing picture!
Oh, I just get my own icon. What a disappointment.
Great track! And if it’s not too forward a thing to say to a complete stranger – what a sexy voice you have Tart!
I did forget to say while I was in earlier….
(a) love the fact that I got Field Commander Cohen as an icon: and
(b) The Tim Young mash-up still cracks me up all these years later. Its also one of Mrs Villain’s favourites….she cant believe someone so demure and innocaent looking as Tim was capable of such wonderful filth!
Ok Ok,
1. I love that all of you are so subtle and sweet and greg just comes out and says “nice rack” hahahah! <3 <3 <3
2. The ravatars are all randomized but once you get one it’s yours until I reset them by upgrading wordpress or crashing my blog or the apocalypse or something.
3. Toons, bloggers are never strangers, my darling! xx
4. JC, yes, and yes a thousand times yes! that darn Tim is such a puzzle! And I’ve never liked your wife more than I do now xx
5. thank you thank you thank you… this has been great fun
