The Ropes caught my eye awhile ago with their single, “Be My Gun.” When they let go and get loud they really shine, I think. So go pop over to their MySpace and have a listen to “I Don’t Like to Get Dirty.” The kind of little-girl naivete in Sharon Shy’s voice when she sings up high is really nicely offset by some industrial sounding beats and guitar work.
