I’ve been following this band on twitter for awhile now, and it’s damn time to get them over here on Love Shack, Baby! The Gin Riots have released a single, The Polka and it’s a right catchy little number. People are comparing them to all sorts of New Wave, punk and post-punk bands. You know I hate saying this band is like band x and a bit of band y! So, just listen to this and tell me what YOU think.They claim to make music to drink to, ha!
The EP is named Mother Ruin, you can buy it here. They’re working on videos and writing new singles, very industrious from what I see on their twitter. Perhaps you saw them at SXSW this year, they gave an amazing show from all accounts. Their website says they’re gigging all over London but I’ve not found a listing for their tour yet! Get these boys on the road!

hhhmmmm, loads of this type of bands doing the rounds over here, and whilst being ok i just can’t get the picture of them slavering over Pete Doherty out of my head…..also they completely and utterly murder Be Sweet by The Afghan Whigs, over on their myspace!!!

hey Pete Doherty has his place in the music cannon! I like this band, they’re good at what they do even if it’s not breathtakingly unique. And that “Be Sweet” is kinda cool, you’re just cranky! xoox (do you like being an otter?)
